A TYPICAL RESIDENTIAL PROJECT
A few before-and-after photos from one of our structural slabs. In-slab hydronic heating in this little one to keep the toes warm during winter. This job was pretty tight on the excavation side of things, a lot of ins and outs and not a lot of room to move around. Great result and some happy clients.
WAFFLE POD SLAB
Here’s a unit site we completed in Ballarat - 5 units based, set up and poured in one week, nice straight lines and well vibrated edges.
This site was engineered with waffles, with 150 2m+ deep bored piers suspending the slabs. The key to easy straight forward pours and subsequently good quality slabs comes from the set ups, the less work and effort that needs to go into formwork, bracing etc. on pour days the better.
HARDSCAPING
A nice exposed aggregate driveway for @the_scape_artist in Clarendon Street, Soldiers Hill. As always, mix selection was on point with the warmer coloured stones coming together with the old red brick quite nicely.
Another nice one for @the_scape_artist, the slab had to perfectly match the placement of 1800x600 lime stone pavers, all perfectly set on one plain as pavers of that size generally don’t like to bend.
STAIRS AND STEPS
It's always nice to change things up a little and work on projects that are away from the standard, keeps everyone fresh. Step treads with red gum risers, path and mowing strip/bung wall, Top soil is in and ready to be spread and finally grass to finish the area off.
Another nice set of paving/tile stairs at one of our Bundoora jobs, something a little different for us here at CCE but something we genuinely enjoyed.
